KidsCreate explores Outer Space in Florida

Thanks to our vivid imaginations, KidsCreate recently visited The Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida...

We learned words related to outer space such as sun, moon, earth, outer space, rocket, space shuttle, planets, astronaut, constellation.

We saw images of Earth sent by Hubble, and played with miniature replicas of various, famous rocket ships : Mercury Redstone (1960-1961), Mercury Atlas (1960-1963), Gemini Titan (1964-1966), Apollo Saturn 5 (1967-1975), and the Space Shuttle (1981-present).

Then we created our own Big Dipper constellations with star-shaped brads, and then sculpted stars out of glow-in-the-dark modeling clay. It was out of this world !!
