Boston: Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

After our adventures in New York City last week, we hit the road again and drove north to Boston, Massachusetts. We took a glimpse at the Liberty Trail (important sites during the American War of Independence), the aquarium, and Boston's famous clam chowder.

We read some postcards that Alyx sent us from Boston in the fall too:

By far the most exciting part of our trip to Boston was seeing a Boston Red Sox baseball game! They won the World Series in 2013, so we were really looking forward to seeing them play:

On Wednesday, we learned the words to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" so we could sing along with the crowd at Fenway Park:

We also had our own little World Series of Baseball -- Crossword puzzle edition! It was a fierce competition, but the "New York Yankees" won in the end.
The other days, we tested our baseball vocabulary by hunting for words such as "bat," "ball," "pitch," and "catcher." Since Boston is also home to the New England Patriots (American football), Boston Celtics (basketball), and Boston Bruins (ice hockey), we learned a bunch of other sports words too, like "soccer ball," "racket," "volleyball," and "basketball."

We even played a bit of indoor basketball...

The sports games were really fun, but also pretty tiring. We had a great time in Boston, and can't wait to head west to Detroit next week!
