And we are off ! Our Road Trip is finally under way.
This week we will discover the intinerary....
Our flight from Paris CDG will land in Washington, D.C., capital of the USA
From there we will head to NYC, the "Big Apple"
Next stop is Boston, Massachusetts,
and the 4th stop is Detroit, Michigan, home of Motown and cars
We discussed the many things we'd like to see in each city...
For DC : The White House, President Obama, the Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Zoo (panda bears), the National Air & Space Museum
In NYC ("The Big Apple"), we would like to see : the Statue of Liberty, Museum of Natural History, the Empire State Building, Times Square, Broadway (see a show), Rockefeller Center (ice skating rink), Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park (and its Zoo), FAO Schwartz (the world's largest toy store)
Also, we'd like to taste a real NY hotdog, bagels, and cheesecake !
In Boston ("Beantown"), we
will walk the Freedom Trail, maybe see runners in the Boston Marathon,
visit the harbor and the Aquarium, the Old North Church and thePaul Revere Statue.
We can
taste baked beans, seafood, and the famous Boston Cream Pie. Yum ! Nearby, we can visit the
university campuses of Harvard and MIT. We might even go to a Boston Red Sox (baseball)
game !
